Ayurveda and Independence Day thoughts

Ayurveda and Independence Day Thoughts...

Every creature has the freedom to live on its own interests. Vagbhata  advices - ' Upakara pradana syad apakarakareyparow'. This means that you have to do only favors to even your enemies. The best way of minimizing the enemy list is to accept them as your friends. Indian medical science underlines the necessity of promoting mutual love and respect among individuals.Ashtanghridaya go on telling - ' Bhakthya kalyanamithrani sevetha'- you have to take care of your friends and co workers. When you enjoy your freedom in this earth, it should be in harmony with others liberty. ' Thrivargasoonyam narambham, bhajetham cha avirodhayan' - your thoughts and actions for the eternal pleasure called Moksha should not be against your own Dharma,Ardha and Kama. Are we following these principles to any extent? We have to take a look back now. The goals of life need so much of compromises within and outside our mind and attitude.

We have the freedom to study what we want. Are we giving back what we studied to the needy ones? We have the freedom to travel wherever we want. Are we bothered when we block somebody's way? We have the freedom to think and dream. Do we respect the feeling of others? Charaka says about 'Thrividha Eshanas' - The way of living, The way of earning money and The way of attaining eternal world. When our generation sinks in corruption and black money, let us think about the 'Dhana eshana' highlighted by Ayurveda, centuries back...When the life is sandwiched by Prajnaparadha with Dhee bhramsa in thoughs, Dhriti bhramsa in action and Smrithibhramsa in culture, we are badly in need of a SADVRITHAM....Yes... a new and practical social code and conduct...Being the torch bearers of this Great Indian Medical Science, Ayurveda, let us support the words and actions targeting the abolition of Corruption and Violence from this land of Vedas and Darsanas.  Yes...for us, may the independent day thought be -'SWARDHABUDHI PARARDHESHU PARYAPTHAMITHI SADVRATHAM'

- Jay Bharath, Jay Ayurveda....gk
